IRVINE, CALIFORNIA, November 30, 2017 - Cylance® Inc., the company that revolutionized the antivirus industry with AI powered prevention that blocks everyday malware along with today’s most advanced cyberthreats, announced the company's inclusion in Enterprise Management Associates® (EMA™) 2017 Next-Generation Endpoint Security Vendor Landscape and Five-Year Market Forecast report. The report ranks 31 next-generation endpoint security (NGES) vendors in terms of largest single deployment, market share by licenses sold, and market share by revenue.
According to EMA’s report, growth of the NGES market has exceeded expectations, reaching an estimated value of $847.08 million in 2017. The average projected growth for the NGES market is between 45% and 55% over the next five years, with the market reaching an estimated value of $3.453 billion by 2021.
Since the last NGES market report was released in 2015, Cylance has remained a top performer from a sales, market share, and solution performance perspective, according to EMA. In the 2017 report, Cylance ranks number one in terms of market share by revenue and number five in terms of market share licenses sold. Of the 31 vendors assessed, Cylance also ranks fourth in terms of largest deployment.
"Legacy security solutions and strategies have largely failed, as evident by the near-daily wave of breaches being reported in the news," said Shaun Walsh, SVP of marketing at Cylance. "The continued momentum of the next-generation endpoint security market is evidence that organizations are increasingly looking for smarter technologies, which present the only chance of staying ahead of an evolving threat landscape."
The findings of the report are covered by EMA’s managing research director of security and risk management, David Monahan, in a webinar, "2017 Next-Generation Endpoint Security Vendor Landscape and Five-Year Market Forecast". The webinar can be viewed on demand here.
"Cylance has been and will continue to be a huge disruptor in the next-generation endpoint security market. As one of the first companies to incorporate artificial intelligence threat modeling into its endpoint security solution, Cylance’s first-mover advantage is apparent," said David Monahan, managing research director of security and risk management at Enterprise Management Associates. "The combination of CylancePROTECT® and CylanceOPTICS™, as well as strategic partnerships with companies like Dell, puts Cylance on the short list of emerging leaders in the space."
