Irvine, CA -- (September 23, 2014) – Cylance, the first math-based advanced threat detection and prevention cyber security company, today announced support for the new Spiceworks App Center, allowing it to offer its endpoint security products to IT professionals seeking to protect their systems against today’s most sophisticated cyberthreats.
Launched today at SpiceWorld Austin, the Spiceworks App Center represents a new way for IT professionals to find, research and buy their favorite IT software and cloud services directly from Spiceworks. Spiceworks is the professional network more than 6 million IT professionals use to learn about the latest products and services, connect with one another and manage their technology environment. IT professionals in Spiceworks spend more than $600 billion on technology products and services each year.
“It’s a tremendous opportunity to partner with Spiceworks, the gathering place and knowledge exchange for so many IT professionals,” said Stuart McClure, CEO of Cylance. “In an era where cyber attacks are increasing in frequency and ingenuity, we are happy to offer IT professionals a product so innovative and intelligent that it can protect against threats that have never been seen before they reach the protected system. Our technology represents the next generation of endpoint security that makes IT managers jobs easier and more secure.”
Cylance is a fundamentally new approach of applying math and machine learning to detect and stop the execution of malware, APTs and advanced cyberthreats. The technology continually evolves, learning how to detect new and morphing threats through an algorithmic process . The CylancePROTECT and CylanceV product lines are endpoint anti-malware agents, architected to detect and block the execution of both advanced and mundane threats in real time, without the need for a cloud connection or constant DAT updates, which miss threats and burden resources.
“Security is consistently rated as a top priority for the millions of IT professionals in Spiceworks tasked with protecting company information and end users,” said Sanjay Castelino, vice president of marketing at Spiceworks. “The Spiceworks App Center represents a new way for technology brands like Cylance to help security professionals get the tools and technologies they need to do their jobs.”
The Cylance app will be available in the Spiceworks App Center in October 2014, enabling seamless integration of CylancePROTECT within Spiceworks.
