Security Innovation Network (SINET) Chooses 16 Top Innovators Among More Than 100 Companies Industry and Federal Government Leaders Collaborate at the 2014 SINET Showcase to Defeat Cybersecurity Threats
Irvine, CA -- (November 3, 2014) – Cylance, the first math and machine learning-based advanced threat detection and prevention cybersecurity company, today announced that it has been selected as a Security Innovation Network (SINET) 16 Innovator for a second consecutive year. Cylance will present its unique approach to advanced threat detection and prevention through the use of complex mathematical models during the SINET Showcase December 3-4, 2014 in Washington, D.C.
"We are honored that our revolutionary detection and prevention technology is being recognized for a second year in a row by SINET," said Stuart McClure, CEO at Cylance. "We are changing the way companies think about and apply security. The current reactive perspective is highly inefficient and the sophistication of malware authors has outpaced the capacity of the human defender. Through the application of advanced mathematics and algorithmic science, Cylance offers unprecedented protection, rendering even the most aggressive and creative threats useless."
SINET is an organization focused on advancing cybersecurity innovation through public-private collaboration. The SINET Showcase program, supported by the Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate, provides a platform to identify and highlight best-of-class security companies that are addressing industry and government’s most pressing needs and requirements. The chosen SINET 16 Innovators present their technological solutions to representatives from the ecosystem of the entrepreneur: venture capital, investment banking, system integration, academia, science, legal, policy, private industry and executives from the Federal Government.
Cylance is a fundamentally new approach of applying math and machine learning to detect and stop the execution of malware, APTs and advanced cyberthreats. The technology continually evolves, learning how to detect new and morphing threats through an algorithmic process. A new feature that was not available at the 2013 SINET Showcase is CylancePROTECT’s Threat Indicators, which puts the power of a virtual threat researcher in the hands of any administrator by dissecting attempted attacks and categorizing them into groups a non-cybersecurity-expert can understand.

About Cylance® Inc.
Cylance is the only company to offer a preventive cybersecurity solution that stops advanced threats and malware at the most vulnerable point: the endpoint. Applying a revolutionary artificial intelligence approach, the Cylance endpoint security solution, CylancePROTECT®, analyzes the DNA of code prior to its execution on the endpoint to find and prevent threats others can’t, while using a fraction of the system resources associated with endpoint antivirus and detect and respond solutions that are deployed in enterprises today.
